Uma Musume Stamina Calculator
Calculate exact stamina requirements based on race distance, running style and track conditions.
The Uma Musume Stamina Calculator is a free tool that tells you exactly how much stamina your character needs for any race distance. Enter your stats, pick a distance and running style, and get a recommended stamina target plus an efficiency rating in seconds. As a rule of thumb, long-distance races (2400m+) need 800β1000 stamina, medium races 500β650, and sprints 300β400 β but the exact number depends on your running style, Guts and recovery skills.
Key Facts
- Covers all distances: Sprint, Mile, Medium, Long and Dirt
- Long-distance races (2400m+) need roughly 800β1000 stamina minimum
- Chaser (End Closer / Oikomi) style uses about 15% more stamina than front-running
- Guts lowers effective stamina drain during the final spurt
- Recovery skills like Stamina Keeper reduce needed stamina by 50β100 points
Running out of stamina in the final spurt
You built a fast Uma, led the whole race, then got passed in the last 200 metres because the stamina gauge emptied before the spurt. The game only shows a raw Stamina number, not how much a specific race actually demands β so you either over-invest and waste points, or under-invest and lose.
A precise target instead of a guess
This calculator models stamina consumption from distance, running style, track condition and Guts, then returns the minimum stamina to finish strong plus a comfort margin. It also flags which recovery skills (like Stamina Keeper or Swinging Maestro) give the best return so you can hit the target with fewer stat points.
What stamina actually does in a race
Stamina is a depleting resource, not a flat stat. It drains fastest during the opening pace and the final spurt. If it hits zero before the finish your Uma enters the dreaded "run down" state, decelerates hard and loses positions. Enough stamina lets you hold the spurt to the line β which is where most races are won.
How running style changes the number
Front Runners spend stamina early to hold the lead; End Closers save it then burn it in one big surge, which costs more overall. Pace Chasers and Late Surgers sit in the middle. The calculator applies a style multiplier so the target matches how you actually run.
Using recovery skills to lower the target
A single strong recovery skill can be worth 50β100 raw stamina. If the calculator says you are 80 short, adding a green recovery skill is often cheaper than grinding stat points. The result panel lists the highest-value skills for your distance.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much stamina do I need for long distance in Uma Musume?
Most 2400m+ races need 800β1000 effective stamina. End Closers and Front Runners lean toward the top of that range; Pace Chasers can win with less. Enter your exact build for a precise number.
Does running style affect stamina requirements?
Yes, significantly. End Closer (Oikomi) uses roughly 15% more stamina than Front Runner because of its big final surge. The calculator adjusts the target by style automatically.
How does Guts reduce stamina consumption?
Guts reduces the extra drain during the final spurt and helps you resist being passed when low on stamina. High Guts effectively lowers the stamina you need to finish, especially on Long races.
What is stamina efficiency percentage?
It compares your current stamina to the race target. Above 100% means a safe margin; below 100% warns you will likely run down before the finish.
How do track conditions affect stamina?
Soft and Heavy tracks increase stamina drain because each stride costs more. The calculator raises the target on worse going so you are not caught short in the rain.
